Paul Patton

Paul Patton served as the 59th governor of Kentucky from 1995-2003 and as lieutenant governor from 1991-1995.  His many accomplishments, awards and years of service include Kentucky higher education reform, Kentucky Association of Economic Development Hall of Fame inductee, and service on the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education, chair of the Southern Regional Education Board, the Southern Growth Policies Board, the Education Commission of the States, the Appalachian Regional Commission, the President’s Commission on the High School Senior Year, and the National Education Goals Panel.  Governor Patton continues his service at the local and regional levels as the current Chancellor of the University of Pikeville and a member of the East Kentucky Leadership Foundation.
